Former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer appeared on a political panel on CNN’s State of the Union, to address the accusations that Donald Trump engaging in bigotry and racism.
Brewer was having none of that, and asserted that it was a common narrative among Democratic leaders who don’t want to deal with the issues, and would rather besmirch the reputations of their political opponents.
This point is given more weight when it is considered that Donald Trump had been in the public eye for decades, as a private sector businessman, and yet it wasn’t until he announced that he was running for president, as a Republican, that the charges of racism and bigotry began flying.
Former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccenelli chimed in to affirm Brewer’s point, by going on the attack against Obama,
“THIS IS A PRESIDENT WHO CANNOT DEFEND HIS POLICIES OR THEIR OUTCOMES, AND SO HE JUMPS, IMMEDIATELY, TO THE RACE CARD- “RACIST CARD” IN PARTICULAR. IT’S A COMMON TACTIC FOR DEMOCRATS.”
Obama has been criticized, on numerous occasions, for playing the race card, and during his first stump speeches in the 2008 Democratic primaries, claimed that ‘some folks’ wouldn’t vote for him because he doesn’t look like the presidents on America’s paper currency.
Dr. Ben Carson has been highly critical of Obama’s tactic of claming to be a victim of racism rather than having to answer for his Liberal policies.
Governor Brewer insisted that these claims of racism and bigotry are only tactics used to promote lawlessness,
“DANG IT, I GET FED UP WHEN WE HEAR, OVER AND OVER AND OVER, FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, EVERY TIME SOMEBODY WANTS TO SUPPORT THE CONSTITUTION AND THE RULE OF LAW, THAT WE ARE OUT HERE BECAUSE WE ARE RACIST AND BIGOTS.”
While she was governor of Arizona, Brewer received no end of criticism from the Obama administration, and its cronies in the Liberal media, for trying to utilize the immigration laws that the federal government was failing to enforce.
Obama himself even went so far as to suggest that Arizona’s efforts to curb illegal immigration was similar to Nazi Germany when he made a reference to authorities demanding to see ‘papers’ when a family is just going out to get some ice-cream.
In fact, with as many times as Republicans have been accused of racism in the past, you would think that it was they, in the past, who were fighting for slavery and wearing the white hoods, but it was, point of fact, the Democratic Party.
The Democrats are the party that literally went to war to keep African Americans in chains, and it was the first Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, who fought them. The Democrats even provided a former Ku Klux Klan leader as a sitting Congressman for decades, until his death in 2010.
